MATHEMATICS WITHOUT BORDERS
2019 – 2020
The Final of the Seventh Edition of the Mathematics Without Borders Tournament will be held on 16th August 2020.
To our great regret, due to theepidemiological situation, we will not be able to host an international Final like we have done in previous years, which means that each participating country will have to hold the Final in their own country – at 10am local time on 16th August 2020.
In order for us to feel together, even though we are separated, we will place the flags of all participating countries above the entry of our school, as we have done in the previous six editions of the tournament.
On the poster that we will use for the competition, we will include photos of all international cities around the world where the Final will be held this year.
All participants, who have won at least one medal in the remote rounds will have access to the Final this year. We are expecting your applications by 30th July 2020.
Together with your application, please feel free to send us a photo of your town/city, that we can add to our poster.
Here is an example of the Final Timetable:
16th August at 10am local time – This is when the competition will be held.
Until the end of the day on 16th August – This will be your deadline for sending us the protocol with the results of your students.
17th August at 5pm – This is when we will announce the results and close the tournament.
We will also expect video material from the competition in your country, which we will include in the Final 2020 Video.
After 20th August 2020 we will post the contestants’ certificates, medals and certificates for those who have earned top place in the Final Ranking, as well as certificates for the champions and Mathematical Stars – the most successful finalists of each country.
