Dear friends of Mathematics Without Borders,

The MWB Final 2021 is now over. In the attached files you will find the general ranking, the winners of Champion Titles and the Math Stars of the Tournament.

1234 students from  17 countries (Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, China, Estonia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malta, the Philippines, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Turkey, Uzbekistan) took part in the Final.

We are very sorry for the limited experience of the Final that we all have had this year and we do hope that next summer things will be back to normal and we will be able to experience the Final in its fullness once again. On the other hand, we are thankful that we are still able to hold the Final at all given the current circumstances, albeit in a limited capacity.

We hope you’re all staying safe! Looking forward to seeing you next summer in Nessebar, Bulgaria!

Congratulations to the winners!
The final round will be held from 6 to 8 August 2021 in Nessebar, Bulgaria.
Sadly, however, due to the epidemiological situation, we will only be able to accommodate local (Bulgarian) students in person this year as international travel will most likely still not be completely safe or reliable in August.
Therefore, we suggest that each country organises the Final locally, similarly to the remote rounds. More details about the final will be announced in mid-May.
We hope that you stay healthy and we wish you all the best in preparing for the finals!
